File Cabinets
File Cabinet Lock Replacement and Repair
Filing cabinets use a variety of lock types depending on the manufacturer and age of the unit. Vertical file cabinets typically use a plunger-style lock in the top drawer that controls a locking bar running down through every drawer. Lateral file cabinets often use a cam lock or sliding bolt mechanism. When the key is lost, the lock jams, or the mechanism breaks, we open the cabinet and replace or rekey the lock on-site.
